Madonna is reportedly planning to step away from the limelight for at least a year so that she can focus on her life in Portugal.
The 'Material Girl' hitmaker recently moved to Lisbon to help her 12-year-old son David Banda become a football star after he was snapped up for the Benfica junior squad and, although she has no plans to retire any time soon, she's decided not to tour for at least another year while she focuses on her children and their new life abroad.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''Madge is enjoying having time off and winding down. She hasn't retired, but she is revelling in a slower pace of life and focusing on her children. That's more important to her right now.''
But, although she won't be arranging a tour to celebrate her 60th birthday on August 16, the 'Hung Up' singer is planning to throw a big party at her Quinta do Relógio estate - and she's even toying with the idea of inviting her ex-husband Guy Ritchie
The insider explained: ''There are going to be quite a few celebrations for Madonna's 60th, but she has said she wants to be surrounded by her family. What is what is most important to her and she thinks her house in Portugal will be the perfect place to host.''
Meanwhile, it's not just David's career Madonna is really pushing as she's also keen to make a success of her eldest three kids Lourdes, 21, Rocco, 17, and Mercy, 12.
A source said recently: ''Madonna adores every single one of her children and wants to use her influence to build them incredible careers.
''Lourdes wants to train as a professional dancer. She will start to focus on dance properly as she graduates from her musical theatre course at university in US soon.
''Rocco is a keen painter and is inspired by BANKSY. His dream is to showcase his work at an exhibition. Madonna is already lining up the best contacts for him in London's art scene. Her adopted daughter Mercy idolises Kanye [West] and is already writing raps and performing them while Madge moved to Portugal this year in support of David's dream to become a footballer.''
And, although Madonna's five-year-old twins Esther and Stella are too young to know what they want to do yet, the blonde star also has a plan of action for them as well.
