He was a committed actor, says Mufu Onifade Veteran actor, Olumide Bakare is dead. Confirming the sad incident to The Nation, former president of the National Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners, NANTAP, Mufu Onifade  said that he passed on early Saturday. Also confirming the actor’s demise, President of Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN, Mr. Delete Odule said, “I officially announce the death of one of us, a veteran actor,  Olumide Bakare (Chief Koko). He slept yesterday at the age of 65, you’ll be posted with other arrangement.”
