Our planet is warming. Here’s what’s at stake if we don’t act now.

Our climate is changing around us faster than predicted. From more frequent and extreme storms to unprecedented heat waves, we’re feeling the impacts of human-caused global warming. But we still have time to change course. We can avoid more dire impacts of climate change by limiting warming to 1.5° C (2.7° F) according to a recent report by the United Nations. The world is already 1° C (1.8° F) hotter than it was between 1850 and 1900, the pre-industrial era. And while there’s no question that limiting warming to 1.5° C will be difficult, there’s also no question that we have the technology needed to do it—and that it’s worth it.

Sgt. Moises Torres, of the state’s firefighting headquarters, said it wasn’t known if anyone was injured in the blaze.  “Two hundred years of work, investigation and knowledge have been lost,” President Michel Temer tweeted. The museum is Brazil’s oldest. Sérgio Sá Leitão, the country’s culture minister, told the newsmen how tragic it was to see the museum in flames, and, according to a translation of his remarks, said the fire “could certainly have been avoided.” The museum holds thousands of items related to the history of Brazil and ot...

Barcelona manager issues major transfer update on Ousmane Dembele amid Arsenal links

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has provided a transfer update which will disappoint a number of Arsenal supporters. Following the arrival of Brazilian winger Malcom from Bordeaux earlier in the week, there has been some speculation in regards to the future of Ousmane Dembele. The Frenchman only joined the La Liga champions in a deal worth a reported £135.5m from Borussia Dortmund last summer but his debut season in Spain was disrupted by a couple of big injuries which restricted him to 23 appearances across all competitions, although he did weigh in with four goals and eight assists. With the majority of Gunners fans desperate for a winger to arrive before next month's transfer deadline, it's quite obvious that Dembele is the most popular choice.
